to get chlorine, fluoride out my water.

    Any particular reason why?

I'm thinking by the way, it might be cheaper for you just to live off bottled water. It depends on how much you drink, but say you drink 2 litres a day, then that's maybe three or more hours a day that you'll need to have this thing switched on and boiling water, and assuming a 1000watt filament (which is about a third the power of my kettle), that'll cost you around 45p a day. That's before you factor in the costs of maintenance, cleaning, the initial purchase, and its eventual replacement, too. For the first year, you're looking at something in the order of 80p a day for your water, and that seems kinda expensive to me.

buy a water filter jug, far cheaper

There are plenty videos on you tube that show you how to distill water using everyday objects.
