I have a very old webstar modem running from when vigin media were telewest,, i think the desk has been on top of the ac adapter wire cause its split in the middle and obvouisly stopped working. It will prob be cheaper to replace myself i suppose. The model on the power brick is-

model no : ad121addt
input: 230v ~ 50 hz 150ma
output : 12v- 1a

If i buy a new one would it have to be one with a brick in it or doesnt it matter, i am running off my battery charger plug now but thats 16v output, what voltage can i get away with if i cant find the exact one
