I've just used my calculator (2002 version) and entered 48 kcal and 0.1 sat fat. Result was 0.5pts. However I also used the link provided on this chain. I entered 0.48 kcal against 0.1 sat fat and entered 0 for fibre (cause I don't know) and it said 0 points. However if you enter 50kcal with 0.1 sat fat it says 1pt.
My husband can work the formula out in his head and the general guide is 50 cals is 1/2 point. I would be inclined to go with my calculator figure of 0.5pts

I'd go with half a point...the actual formula (I found it after extensive Googling many moons ago) is POINTS = (kCals/70)+(Sat Fat/4). 48 calories is nearer to 35 (half of 70) and sat fat of 0.1 is virtually nil - hence half a point.

Simone - your general guide would fall down with sweets - often they are all calories and no fat. 350 kCals of sweets with no saturated fat would be 7 points by your reckoning - whereas it'd only be 5 points in reality. Don't diddle yourself...although it does mean you're likley to lose quicker by overestimating...

Yeah...ish. Only if you take lunches to work and use healthy extras on bread, then you can't mix red and green at dinner time without hammering your syns...each one's a battle. But then so is eating healthily and exercising...

    1/2 point
