I use the following weights (see pic), but when I use them the physical weights come loose and nearly start to slide off. This is obviously dangerous, but also hinders my routine.

Is there a special type of allen key to fix them in place securely?? The brand of weights are Marcy!

Rep given to all helpers!!
Thanks
David

My dumbells are simliar and they become loose, a bit gaffer tape wrapped around ends helps

Dont you just screw them tight with the silver bit at the end?

Is they loose then put tape on it and just screw it back on and should be fine!!

PTFE Tape?

Exactly. The tape might work, but I would prefer something long term as when I change and replace the weights if will be long winded. I'm sure they used to be be fine, but within the last year they come loose even when tightened fully.

Just noticed that, so tape around will help!! make sure take of the screw bit then apply tape!

theres some tape you can buy that is used to seal leaks in pipes etc, you wrap it round like normal tape then it sets into a rubber seal, if you tape the ends up real snug pushing tape deep into the thread it would make a wicked seal when it sets, and shouldnt wear away as easy as normal gaffer tape etc

should be able to get it easy, i got some from wilko

oh. you gotta stretch it real good it as you apply it
