What can I do with Sardines?

I just bought some sardines and I have NO IDEA what to do with them, they are in tomato sauce.

    Let me know your ideas

    Cheers.

Nice idea, I don't intent on throwing them at the wall this time :D.

But what do you do with them? just eat them on their own? Do you have anything with them?

Haven't had sardines but Pilchards in tomato sauce are nice with a creamy cottage cheese/ Philadelphia cheese, a Jacket potato and salad

I put them on toast, and heat up under the gril ... yum

use them for bait to catch something better!?

    Great idea, thanks a lot

Just serve them up on toast!

well u could try mashing them up a little and chucking em on some lightly buttered bread, add a little finely chopped onion, a tomato or whatever takes your fancy, i like to add a little chilli sauce too.

    Buy a fish tank.

tesco value meatballs 38p job done. If you're feeling wealthy add a pack of value chicken noodles to that, they are only 10p...they used to be 9!

+1 just what I was going to say - takes me back to my childhood as that's what my dad used to make a lot. I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole mind you! :o)

Sardines and Pilchards are the same

    same fish but different size

At 15cm they are still sardines, but by the time they have grown to 16cm they are officially pilchards

lol maybe, maybe not, but if the sardines are in tomato sauce they are probs quite high in sugar. The value meatballs arent that unhealthy and taste quite nice lol

Open can, pick your target and conceal.

    Pasta and a

2 Tbsp sun or olive oil throw in some chopped garlic, chillie and teaspoon of fennel seeds fry for 5 mins add 2 chopped tomatoes. toss in some cooked pasta and add sardines.

    Great cheap meal!
