    What can I eat?

    Ive got lots of veg and no meat! I normaly eat the veg as a complement to the meat I eat.

    Any veggies or cooks reccomend me a meal from the following ingriedients?

    6 eggs
    250ml creme freche
    milk
    tomatoes
    onion
    garlic
    brocoli
    carrot
    celery
    lemons
    radish
    green pepper
    pasta
    rice
    dolmio bolognaise sauce

    no cheese?? because eggs always good for omeltte but cheese makes i so much nicer

    vegetable rice with boiled eggs

    you could make an omelete with the veg and a little creme freche, not as fab as cheese but might go okish lol

    For vegetable pasta, do I just boil the vegetables to cook them, once cooked add to frying pan, then add the bolognaise sauce? And obviously cook the pasta.

    cook the veggies you want until tender,
    cook your pasta while the veg are cooking
    stir the whole lot into the sauce and serve, could always try a little creme freche on top if you have no cheese

    You could boil them, but they'd taste much better steamed. If you haven't got a steamer you can do this in the microwave.

    That sounds nice. From experiance would you recommend any particular combination of veg from the above?

    green pepper (might be best chopping and frying that rather than boiling it)
    Onion (chop and fry that too)
    small amount of garlic - depending on how garlicky you like stuff lol (fry it!)
    Carrot (boil it)
    broccoli (boil that too)
    add chopped up tomatos if you want let them warm through.


    umm................ do you not normally cook by any chance? lol

    you know what.........scramble a couple of eggs and mix them with the boiled rice lol

    I do cook most of the time, but never just vegetables. I always cook, fish or meat with veg as a side order. Never had just veg to cook with.

    [FONT=Frutiger 45 Light][SIZE=3]ignore the bolognese sauce - it's just a waste of money.
    i assume that the tomatoes are real and not tinned, but if you have them, i would add a tin of tomatoes to number 2.

    1) fry off some chopped onion and some garlic. when soft, add finely diced carrot, celery and tomato and cook on a low heat for around 10 mins. whisk up 3 eggs with a touch of milk and mix together in the pan (touch of salt and pepper at this stage would be nice). fry slowly, finishing under the grill to cook the top. Done!
    or
    2) get the pasta on to boil. fry off some chopped onion and some garlic. when soft, add finely diced carrot, celery, green pepper and radish and cook for 10 mins on a low heat until soft. add finely diced carrot and some stock to keep moist. bring to a steady simmer, add chopped broccoli and stick a lid on the pan. cook for 2-3 mins, or until the broccoli is cooked, but still has a bit of bite. add a bit of creme fraiche to thicken slightly, and a bit of salt and pepper. serve with pasta, or egg fried rice. Done!a drizzle of squeezed lemon will zing it up a bit.

    3) get the rice on the boil. fry off some chopped onion and some garlic. when soft, add whisked eggs and cook while continually stirring. fry at quite a high heat, then just before all the egg is cooked, add the cooked rice and stir until all coated and cooked.

    you could really do with a bit of bacon, chichen or beef in number 2 to give it a bit more oomph!
