i think it really depends where your from, and what others say.. ive always said dinner tho.

Tea, dinner is a hot midday meal, and lunch if it's cold.
I think eveyone says something different. There was a thread on this some time ago as well.

psht thats old skool we're here for the now

"meal 4"

Dinner = evening meal
(except on Sundays ... sunday dinner if we have it a 2pm or 6pm or whatever!)

just posted for the comparison

dinner

We have lunch mid day.
And cooked Dinner in the evening.

Unless it's Saturday, or Sunday.
Then we have Dinner at Lunch time. And Tea (sandwitches, fruit and cake) at Dinner time (sixish)

When you guys go "out" to eat in the evenings...(even in Yorkshire) do you say you're going out for tea?

Original Poster

nope i say you fancy going out for something to eat? or you fancy going out for a meal tomorrow evening♠
