Director of English provision for a rapidly expanding academy chain. Absolutely love my job but a lot of work! Didn't think I'd end up doing this.. especially after only leaving University 4 years ago! Wouldn't change it for the world though

I work at teaching assistant in school love it, always wanted to be a teacher but never got chance to go to university. But I'm glad I'm not teacher too much pressure. I love my job no pressure and no baggage. Works perfect with my family life have all holidays with kids off.

No degrees here, love my life, my business keeps me free from having to go work and I enjoy what I do. Apart from those weeks where things seem non stop, you get some grand brakes too. Plus, I never need to listen to an alarm clock again!

I work for Sky dealing with phone/broadband installation delays. Christmas Eve I was told by five different people that I ruined Christmas, good times eh?

    primary or secondary?
my plan had been to go into teaching but for various reason that didnt happen. i did a teaching placement during uni which i enjoyed though bu tthen years past & i was in another profession, then i thought of applying for pgde but a job came up as a classroom assistant & i applied to get expereince. I hated it. admittedly i wanted to be a science teacher but i was placed as classroom assistant in music & art (i have no skill in either!). was kids age 11-17. it was "mental" .... one day an 11 y/o girl squared up to the teacher & had to be physically carried out the class by the resident police officer.

i have since lost faith in the education system. If parents knew what went on in many classes I dont think they would be too happy.... just sayin'

I was a secondary science teacher for many years. I think the behaviour of the kids varies from teacher to teacher and school to school. I didn't have a lot of problems with behaviour..

Yeah, you need good brakes on a paper round

After a lifetime of stress working as a logistics controller / planner in the automotive industry I got to work one morning and opened a particularly snotty e mail from a colleague and replied copying everyone telling them where to shove their office politics and walked out and never looked back.
After a few months of struggling to survive I took a job in a local firm that was extremely hard physical work and poorly paid but it involved a bit of quality inspection work that eventually led me into my present job as a quality inspector in a aerospace firm, I'm earning a lot more than I ever did in the automotive sector with a fraction of the stress and a good work / life balance of working 4 on 4 off with plenty of holidays.

It depends on what type of photography he's going into. I photograph Newborns & family. People never stop having babies, which is fab for me.

I love being self employed, but it's a worry at first where your next wages are going to come from.
