  2. DVD-R

i use liteon and nero 6 to burn discs

Sony - faultless.

Got 2
A NEC 3530 A
Pioneer 111D
I burn discs using convertxtodvd, I sometimes have the odd coaster with the Nec but not the Pioneer.
Which program are you using ?

pioneer dvr-115d

I'm using nero 6, ritek GO5 discs, and just towards the end of films it starts playing up.

Thinking about buying either a newer pioneer, or a sata drive

pioneer dvr-115d

they are all much of a muchness. Burning DVDs dosent take up all the time. Transconding files is the killer.

if its happening on both drives sounds more like an encoding issue, try using a diff ripper

LG GSA-4167B. No problems.

Also had an LG CDRW which is about 7 years old now and no probs

I use the drive that came with my laptop, or the one which came with my desktop.

just got a pioneer 115D for £15, and flashed it today --> 20x burning speed, apparently.

best bit now my mac can burn dvd±rw, duals etc not just dvd-rw.

i got a samsung and a pioneer

Have you tried different burning software? CDBurnerXP and ImgBurn are both free so they might be worth trying first before you spend money on a new drive.

use toast titanium 9.
oh forgot to mention i had pioneer 105D, then 110D previously.
