I'm actually going to bed now so can't rep everyone who helps tonight, but I know you night birds are knowledgeable and could help me.

We're flying over to Barcelona Reus on that Eurocamp hol in June which is obv self catering. Can we take any food with us in luggage (suitcase to be checked in, not hand luggage) or is that illegal? thinking boxes of cereal, that sorta thing, but dont wanna get caught for doing something illegal wihtout knowing it!

Any help?

What weight? The suitcases I mean:)
Mexican Pork . . . . yum . . . . . achoo . . . . .
I don't think seeds of any kind are allowed, although that could be country specific.

I took a lot of food when we went to Disney Paris last time, went by Eurostar. I had a huge suitcase,it was 2/3rds full with longlife food and snacks.I had a holdhall too with fresh food in,as Disney hotel let us keep it in their fridges.Took more food than clothes for family of 4 for 6days.

Reason I took food as we are all vegetarian and it's poor choice in Disney parks, and their vegetarian options are not all vegetarian.

Customs didn't ask anything when going through, didn't take anything tinned.
Most things are cheap enough to buy over there, just take things that are more expensive, Tea bags and cereal jump to mind.
Hi H_K
here's a link to the Spanish airport/customs regulations

iatatravelcentre.com/ES-…htm
From what it says here, it looks as though you can take pretty much what you like as long as the food products were produced within the EU.
I hope you have a nice holiday:thumbsup:
America confiscated my ham sandwich.
Be warned
