What is better Megabloks micro or mini or lego?

My son is 3 and the traditional mega bloks are not really exciting enough for him anymore and they come apart too easily. What is better the Megabloks mini or micro blocks or lego? We won't be doing any exotic kits at the moment. Are the mini ones the one that compare with lego? I know that the mini and micro ones are currently on offer in certain places but I am happy to buy lego if it is superior. Many thanks

Lego is a better investment, and more fun, it just grows, mine still plays with it at 12 yr old, saying that so do i

Lego for me and my lad when hes a bit bigger. Those mega blocks dont feel the same as lego.

what is teh most economical way to buy lego then? I don't want kits that are very exotic yet just quite a lot of basic bricks - is it on offer anywhere?

Sainsbury has a half price toy sale. You usually find it in buckets on sale around xmas. If I see any ill post it in this link.

thanks so much - I have been looking generally - it is much more expensive then I would have thought. I do know it lasts for years though.

As he's 3 I would suggest getting lego duplo as standard lego is for 4+. My two showed no interest in megabloks as not much variation, but love lego. We got our daughter the duplo brick box 5507 for her 2nd birthday and she loves it and plays with it most days. It usually retails for £35 mark but you can usually pick it up from Argos or Amazon for around £25 when they have offers on.

I always preferred K-nex over Lego when I was younger, but I usually combined the two.

Thats for older kids. I didnt really like that. It was things you could build and they would move. Basic lego is much better!

I am not sure I want to buy duplo just to have him go onto lego in a year - it is all quite expensive. I think he might be able to do lego at 3? I can't believe development changes that much in a year but I am probably wrong
