    What is jailbroken?

As above....alot of people are mentioning it, as though it's needed....so if anyone could let me know, would be fab! ( I'm getting the iphone)
Also unlocking is just for all networks right? . . .

Sorry for being dumb with the question...but cause I dont know, I thought I better ask!

    Thank you xx

Jailbroken means you can download all applications free and customise your iphone

Very simple Jailbreak is software package that allows you to unlock your phone...Is really worth it, its up to individual. Apple will disconnect you if they detect what you have done.

So i probably want a jailbroken phone? How do you go about jailbreaking it? and otherwise can i not get applications onto the phone? xx

    Yep - it's a whole lot better.

You dont have to jailbreak it, but you will pay for most of your apps (i.e Satnav - from App Store £40 - from Installous (jailbroken app store) - £FREE)

Every phone has a IMEI no. (Simliar to mac address) this is connects to Apple (O2) providers just to connect to the network or when you upgrade firmware or os. Its a simliar to Xbox Live, if your provider find outs you have modded xbox they ban your unit off the network.

Its a case is worth, yes and no.

yes its really good to use it on a cheaper provider, and use there services, you can add real flash updates, etc

no apple may disconnect you regardless what providers when you update your software.

Didn't think piracy was allowed on here.

SatNav from App Store = Developer gets paid for their work
SatNav from Jailbroken = Developer throws in towel
