Every year a family relation always receives an expensive branded VSOP or XO Cognac or Brandy as a Christmas present. Unfortunately money is tight this year, and he never reciprocates the gift, so I wondering what Supermarket Brandy, Armagnac or Cognac would you recommend and rate. The local supermarkets in Bracknell are Aldi, Morrisons, Tesco's, Sainsburys and Waitrose, but please add your opinions on Lidl, Budgens, Co-op and Asda for other users.
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

My missus buys everyone in her family tons of presents every year and my family get nothing as i prefer to get thm nothing and get nothing from them.
I spend a fortune on missus and daughter and the old ladies at the post office but thats it. All you get in return is a bunch of crap you dont want because know one puts thought in to it because them dont actually care

Thank you for your recommendation, but sadly Asda is about 10 miles away. Although with Sainsburys matching their nearest competitors, hopefully the price will fall to £12.
A very good question. Obligation mainly, but also while everyone else is receiving presents he is always left out of the loop. Usually I prefer to give than receive presents, and seeing a person feeling wanted and happy does have it's own rewards.
