What is the economy switch on a Hotpoint freezer?

We have a small Hotpoint Iced Diamond freezer and there is a economy switch on the outside. Should it be switched to 0 or 1? Should it be switched to 1 for normal conditions and 0 of it's cold and humid like winter time and droplets are forming on the outside of freezer?
