What is the iPhone 4 screen res?

Guys can anyone tell me what the screen res is? Does it actually show off in HD? I'm having an arguement with my mate and he says it's just something fancy Apple state.

    Yes dragon
I have read this: 960-by-640-pixel resolution at 326 ppi

But does the mean the screen is in 640 or is te 326 ppi is hd?

I don't see any HD on mine

But they have released games in HD

    It's not HD.

ppi = pixels per inch unless I'm mistaken. ie the screen roughly divided by 3 because it's a 3 inch screen or thereabouts.

    1280x720 is level entry HD

Ah ok, bit misleading then saying some apps are in HD

Ah ok, bit misleading then saying some apps are in HD

They might be slightly bigger than the screen, ie are in hd but you can't see the edges. Were you to play them on an hd screen you'd see it all!!…tml cleary says res is 960x640

    Retina display
    3.5-inch (diagonal) widescreen Multi-Touch display
    960-by-640-pixel resolution at 326 ppi
    800:1 contrast ratio (typical)
    500 cd/m2 max brightness (typical)
Fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating on front and back
Support for display of multiple languages and characters simultaneously

But 1024x768 is not hd* either Apple: lol

So basically it's to differentiate between Ipad apps and Iphone / Itouch apps but under the misleading HD abbreviation to further humiliate any sense of accuracy.
