What ISP's let you take out a 6 month contract?

Moving into a flat on a 6 month lease (possibly extending for another after that but we'd like the option to move) so wondering which ISP's allow you to only take out a 6 month contract?

Needs to be unlimited usage if possible (we stream and download a lot); speed inst that much of an issue however. Any suggestions? Already looked at plusnet but the usage limited seemed a little low. Looking to spend about £20 p/m, quidco welcome of course!

i think BE broadband is monthly contract and unlimited, they suppose to be one of the best providers and also give you a stactic ip which is good for gaming

Cheers will have a look. Do all ISP contracts need a landline?

plusnet do a no contract option and i think they can also supply the landline.

All of them do want a landline of some description it appears. Anyone know the cheapest way to get a BT landline? Direct through BT or through an ISP (eg Be)?

wifi from a neighbour who´s not encrypted.

    you need:
    - BT line
    - Line rental
    - Internet provider

Most internet providers will provide you with internet and line rental but if you don't have a BT line AT ALL in the house - you need to get BT to install one. Costs about £110 if i remember correctly.

Thanks all. Gonna try and haggle with the landlord and see if he'll absorb any of the connection costs!

None of the items in oldmanhouse's list should be a landlord's responsibility unless the tenancy/rental agreement states ADSL/"broadband" Internet access is provided.

PS. Freedom2Surf also offer one-month rolling contracts.
