Need your help please.......

With all these good deals on printers at the moment I'm not to sure which one is best for my needs.

I only need to print black and white and I'd only use it a few times a week.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks, Rob.

epson

doritos

epson

I used to have epson printers, then the nightmare of piezo inkjet head decided to screw me, don't use it for a few weeks and it dies, forever.

Hopefully that's no longer the case, but HP Laser and Canon Inkjet here have done me well for over a decade.

The black ink ran out after just over 40 pages"So yes you can go wrong if you need new ink every 40 pages, if its so good why do you think they are selling it at such a discount

copy and pasting 1 bad review.....wow!

where in the op does it say he was gonna do a significant mount of printing btw?

lso do you have verification that there were only 40 pages? or do you just take 1 persons word or review before you make a purchase?

in case you arent aware amazon often do decent discounts and they often change their price several times a week sometimes even a day!

plus the warranty/service you get with amazon its hardly a worry if they did happen to be selling off dodgy goods on the cheap....lol

go read some impartial reviews & go find a better printer for the price

At the end of the day an ink printer is never going to be as cheap to run … At the end of the day an ink printer is never going to be as cheap to run or as reliable at a laserIf they only do a small amount of printing theres a very high risk of constantly needing new carts making an ink printer even more costly to run, plus the hassle of no working printer when you need oneFor what the op originally asked for a laser is the only choice thats makes sense, a year between prints is no prob at allPlus you can get laser all in ones if op now wants one of those instead

blah blah blah

Except it doesn't seem this model supports the cheap inks the other Epsons do.

Unless i'm wrong I would look at this one: (SX515 Wi-Fi £49)

Have to admit if I needed a printer for only black and white (so no photo printing) I would probably go for laser. Have so many problems with inks drying up.

I would look at something like the Samsung ML-1665 for £50
