A lot of people in broadband deals are recommending that it is worth purchasing a new router to replace the one supplied by the ISP - in my case a NOW broadband router.

I currently live in a flat on my own on a 36Mbps fibre package. Is a new router worth it? What features should I be considering as a long term purchase if I was to spend the money?
