What should I do about my TV parcel?

Found 13th May 2011
I got a TV today, it came as part of my mobile phone contract deal (i.e. free TV). I was advised by e2save that DHL repackage the TV box so that the phone is inside. However, the problem was that the TV box wasnt sealed properly
(MEANING IT WAS WIDE OPEN FOR THE COURIER TO SEE ALL THE CONTENTS). My wife took the parcel as I wasnt is, otherwise I would have rejected it.

I called e2save and they made a note of the issue.

What should I do now? I am going to check the contents against the list provided but wondered if I should do anything further.

Entertaining though you must admit X)

Ok they didnt package to a high standard although it was a repack as you stated but it still got delivered, look at it this way they could have put a bow on it with glittery cellotape and repointed the corners of the box, but none of that would have mattered if they managed to lose your package. In your case they didnt, no glittery glue, no bows and no repointed cardboard corners or edges, you just the important stuff within the [email protected] your going to throw away anyway

If you're still not happy lob it in da sea

You should probably phone the bomb squad just in case.

Also immigration, just in case there's a tiny Mexican inside.

Maybe get a drug sniffing dog too.

I came home from work today and i had a cup of tea,

I then put the tv on using the remote. i could have used the power button on the tv but i didn't.

I phoned samsung to tell them, they made a note of the issue.

What should i do now? I am going to check the remote to see if it works with anything else but wondered if I should do anything further.

unless your name is neil lennon I wouldn't worry.

"I am going to check the contents against the list provided"

1) TV
2) mobile phone

it's not as if you've ordered 100 things, stop moaning and enjoy your new phone and tv like any normal person would

why would dhl put a phone in the tv box for e2save? dhl just pick the box up (maybe chuck it around , see if its anything nice inside, play football, and maybe play hide the parcel for a few days) but they just deliver it. e2save are giving you some moo moo doo doo.

I would call the council ASAP to notify them as well, you can never be too careful with these types of things.

LOL @ all of the above. Turns out the remote was missing afterall brainiacs!

Oh well, I suppose thats why it should have been sealed, not open (as if someone had been poking around and stole the remote. E2save blame DHL, DHL blame E2save. All gets sorted next week now.. as if I have time.

Anyway, thanks for the useful comments... but not the numpty comments from people who dont have any common sense. (_;) (and have probably never heard of the saying 'Better to be safe than sorry'. The same type of clowns who would have replied to a thread (saying I didnt get a remote, the box was open) with comments like: 'err well thats your own fault for not checking the contents when they arrived...'
