What sort of petrol consumption will a LWB transit get on A roads averaging 30 to 40 MPH?

Anybody own and have an idea?
I'm looking to rent one and want an idea of the running costs.

Renting one - presumably it's a modern diesel then? IT all depend on your driving style, load, condition of vehicle and route. Lots of variables.

Aren't the rented ones restricted to 55mph nowadays ? I would say 35 max dropping in town 25.

Thanks. I doubt I'd manage more than 55 as it's mainly single carriage way.
I was hoping that 25MPG is a realistic minimum. I'll be driving with a light foot and the load isn't that heavy.

I had a 53 LWB based transit 4 years ago and a 54 plate Luton and both struggled to get above 25, the Luton more like 20 max.

I suppose new models will be better at fuel consumption.

Then again I did removals and was often fully loaded so take that into consideration.

You should be able to squeeze 30mpg if you drive it with a light foot.
