Hello everybody,

Yesterday I won a bread maker on ebay. The description of the item was NEW and for collection only. So I made almost 100 miles and collected it and did not check the content of the box as relayed on the seller.
I wanted to make it a present but when I opened it at home noticed that it is no HEAVILY used one.
I called the seller but he denies that it was used, also says bring it back I will take it and return your money (£10.00 only). Should I take it back or he should come and collect it?
What would you do?

your think of doing a 100 mile trip to get a tenner, i wonder about this place at times

i would want a refund through paypal.

other than that, tell ebay but don't wind yourself up about it. its not worth the stress - what goes around comes around, he will have his comeupance

no seller would accpet a paypal payment for a pick up, and to the op it is up to you to return for a refnd, not the seller

sandwich anyone?

the petrol must have been more money than the breadmaker itself
looooooooooooooooooooool

been some crazy threads today.

I would just leave some negative feedback and not bother returning it for the sake of a tenner x

Wow, that was a serious life choice.

i did the same - I bough ttwo mini fridges off ebay and they were a local pick up - it was raining hard and they were handed to me at the door, when I got home they were obviously very used, one had had stickers taken off and was still sticky, I did nothing - just did not leave any feedback - didnt know what to do really

a magical breadmaker with pretty eyes and a nice smile...lol

OP-sorry you had such a bad experience. If I were you I would write it off as bad luck. Make sure you leave negative feedback for this seller so others know he didn't tell you the truth about the condition of the breadmaker xx

The only one who made some bread was the seller!

if sum1 messed with my breadmaker pred...theyd be TOAST

(sorry for that)

Just give it a good clean and then make yourself the most expensive loaf of bread you will ever eat.
Then throw it out and put it down as an experience to learn from:thumbsup:

What gets me is what the seller would've said to the buyer if they had actually opened the box to have a look!

for goodness bakes give it a rest you lot

A general store owner hires a female assistant who likes to wear very short skirts. One day a young man enters the store, glances at the assistant and glances at the loaves of bread behind the counter. Noticing the length of her skirt [or lack of] and the location of the raisin bread, he has a brilliant idea.

"Id like some raisin bread please", the man says politely. The female assistant nods and climbs up a ladder to reach the raisin bread, which is located on the very top shelf. The young man standing almost directly beneath her is provided with an excellent view, just as he surmised he would be.

Once she descends the ladder he muses that he really should get two loaves as he's having company for dinner. As the clerk retrieves the second loaf of bread, one of the other male customers notices whats going on. Thinking quickly, he requests his own loaf of raisin bread so he can continue to enjoy the view. With each trip up the ladder the young lady seems to catch the eye of another male customer. Pretty soon each male patron is asking for raisin bread, just to see the clerk climb up and down.

After many trips shes tired, irritated and thinking that she is really going to have to try this bread for herself!

Finally, once again at the top of the ladder, she stops and fumes, glaring at the men standing below. She notices an elderly man standing amongst the crowd staring up at her. Thinking to save herself a trip, she yells at the elderly man, "Is yours raisin too?"

"No," croaks the old man "... But its startin to twitch." :-D

:giggle: :giggle:

Edna, I swear you're getting worse !! :giggle:

Lets just hope OP and others use their loaf next time and open the box prior to paying when collecting.

Leavens above

Hi everybody. I agree with most of you. But what happened it happened.
I thought the item is NEW! like it was written on items description on ebay. I paid via Paypal for it.
As we were going to Heathrow anyway it was only 30 miles from there I decided to pick it up otherwise I would order collection and delivery.
The question is should I drop it back in order to get my tenner back via Paypal dispute or it is up to him to come and collect it from my place?

I wouldn't bother. Just give the seller negative feedback and leave it at that.
