come visit me at work and take me out for lunch lol

I was about to say "get the other OH half to join you" and then realised you were talking about the location?

    wash yourself

    Serious note:

Standard restaurants like Browns, Ask, Loch Fyne are pretty ok and good service. Avoid Strada near the Theatre Royal as carp service. Lovely pubs near the train station, Ring O'Bells on Widcombe parade.

Have to visit the Roman Baths and go in the spa if you have time, spa is pricey but very nice

hehe - realised as I was posting that would get this response lol but as staying in travelodge will try out any suggestions :-)

MAKE SURE you go to either (or both!) Ben's Cookies and Shakeaway. Both of which are off the main shopping street. It depends what you're into, if you enjoy shopping then there's some brilliant boutiques, otherwise there's things like the Jane Austen Museum etc!

I love shopping but OH loves all the historic sites and such so may have to be some negotiations :-) - thanx for the ideas - rep given :-)

Take the red bus tour of Bath to see its history

Bus Tour was good, but the ]Thermae Bath Spa was amazing.

    Roof top pool was stunning.

Spend a day on the cricket pitch next to the Royal United Hospital and see if anything interesting turns up? :-D

There's a Thai Restaurant (Thai Balcony I think it's called) absolutely fantastic, authentic cuisine and atmosphere. It's right in the middle of town and I most definitely recommend if you like Thai food. Also, if the Thermae is booked, there's McDonald Bath Spa hotel just outside of the centre which can obviously provide accom but they also have damn good spa facilities which can be used by 'the public'
If you like clothes that no-one else has got, my OH recommends a shop called 'Apricot'. It's on the corner, just up the hill slightly from the baths. Good clothes (or so she tells me!)
    Have fun.

Take a noose and a stool.

    Horrible place.

    ....?

Thanx for replies - rep given - have some good ideas now and am looking forward to going on Wed :-D

Has to be the new baths. On a cold day the naturally heated thermal rooftop pool is great; plus there are all the steam rooms and an indoor pool. Bath is an excellent city just to wander around a bit amilessly too as it has lots of little hidden nooks and crannies to explore. Me and the wife went last summer for a couple of days and loved it; you'll have a great time. Go and see the Royal Crescent too. Some of the river is nice to walk along but so far along in one direction it all goes a bit Pete Tong and there were needles and all sorts on one bit so perhaps avoid that.
