What to do with an 8gb sdhc card?

    Hope someone can help....
I recently bought my lad the Zen Media player from Amazon and bought an SanDisk 8gb sd card to use for memory in it as well. However, when I have tried to use it in my computer to save some films to it, the comp doesn't seem to want to recognise it. The comp is a couple of years old, so I'm guesing that it does not have the correct driver.
DOes this seem like the right explanation. If so how can I overcome it? Would one of the memory card port things help?
    Cheers for any help

put it in the zen and connect the zen to the computer... this should work and you dont have to buy anything!

I use one in a PCMCIA card on my laptop.

i remember ax xp update for sdhc cards

    you need to format it
stick it in the card reader, conect to usb
right click the external drive in windows explorer and format it

Yeah sorry about that but I was feeling absolutely knackered - MAN flu!

The card is not a micro card.

Thanks for all the suggestions - I'll see what I can find.
