What to do with my old pc?

hi all, my new build will be created tomorrow, so what to do with the old 1?

its an hewlett packard with an athlon xp3200 with 2 gig ram, a gigabyte hd2400pro graphics card, 160 gig sata hdd

i was thinking of using as a fileserver or summat, as we have another 2 desktops/3 laptops, but with the amount of hd space on the other machines it hardly seems worth it.

i dont see any point in selling it as i think these kinda spec pc's go for peanuts these days?

any other ideas? it has been working with xbmc in my bedroom but struggled with xp and xbmc on 720p stuff, would a linux install be better ?

    cheers

    thats all folks

giving it away aint an option, whats 720p video like across a wireless network?

If you're taking it apart you could lend me your graphics card for a short while ? Mine isnt working but HP are running replacement programme but is delayed for 6-7 weeks. Currently using works PC and friends old, and VERY slow, laptop at home.

not gunna strip it sorry mate, looking for a function for it tbh

You'd be better stripping it really, check the prices of Athlon XP 3200 on ebay, i sold one for £45, the DDR RAM is becoming rare now as well, even better if they are 1GB sticks, about £20 - £30 each if they are. 512MB about £5 to £10 each
