Does anyone know what type of tree this is ?

The pictures look quite blurry. Can you show us one of the leaves up close?

It looks like some kind of chestnut tree, could be horse chestnut or sweet chestnut (if your in southern Europe) but I cant see the leaves well enough to tell.

Can't see the lens clearly but this week help you. British trees
Assuming you have a google account; Get a leaf and put it on a piece of A4. Take a good pic and load it up to Google photos. Google will give you a taxonomy after a short think.
After zooming in on a leaf it looks similar to the european beech tree
It could also be same form of hazel, which also frequently has those sort of ridged leaves - Hornbeam has very similar leaves to common beech trees.

There do appear to be fruit on the branches in the second picture but they're rather small to see. A better photograph of them as well as the leaves and bark would be helpful.

Looks very much like ye olde beech tree here.
Sorry for the late reply... I'll get a leaf and get some better shots and upkoad them. Thanks for your help guys
