Im 19 years old, so i obviously cant afford anything amazing!

I current have a 1999 clio, which is literally dying on me, and wont be worth putting through MOT in July, so i have been saving for a new car below are my options;

peugeot 106 quicksilver,
peugeot 206,
vauxhall corsa 1.2 sxi
honda civic 1.4i

All 1.4 litre or under so insurance wont cost too much, and all can be picked up for around £2000,

anyone have any of the above, or any views/past experiences on the above cars?

thanks

French cars = Cack.

Alright, brand new ones aren't too bad, but I had a Saxo from new in 1999 and I am sure it was built by people with learning difficulties. Never again. I can only imagine how bad a ten year old used one must be!

On the other hand, a Honda will drive you to the moon and back and not flinch

Saxo vtr ftw, I bet the insurance on one wont be as much as you think.

Out of that list, I would opt for the honda civic 1.4i

Agreed. Deffo wouldn't touch the French carp and don't rate Vauxhalls.

Stay clear of pretend cars too. (There are already plenty of "owners" of those..... and no one would want to look that stupid.) Oh wait!

Well if you get a 106 or saxo I have and an acoustic shelf with a pair of alpine 6x9 and a panny cd auto changer and panny cd head unit and all cabling. Drop me a PM if your interested in the future and I'll sort a thread.

Anybody that suggests a Saxo should be shot. Brilliant to drive, but you'll spend most of your time driving it to a garage to get fixed.

If insurance costs aren't important to you, go with the Civic. If insurance costs do both you, go for a Fiesta or Corsa.

i had a pug206 and it was amazing i had no problems with it cheap road tax and insurance(was ur age when i had it) great in petrol!! just amazing car!! would defo recomend it!!

My second car was a 5 year old saxo vtr and I didn't have any problems with it reliability wise in over 3 years, saying that i'd still take a civic over one.

I prefer my fords myself, but certainly agree on the french lack of reliability

Vauxhall Corsa... DONT GO FOR THE PEUGEOT...

honda civic. it's reliable and not bad looking either.

The civic.
