What Xbox should I choose for my free gift from affordable mobiles?

Basically affordablemobiles.co.uk have some £15 contracts with orange, that have 'Xbox Arcade' or 'Xbox 360 Pro' as the free gift so which one should i take?

Obviously the Pro version is the 20gig one so will be an old model as its not made anymore and more likley to have problems, so should i just go with the arcade version and buy a hard drive?

Any ideas on the compainies return policy etc or would i have no probelsm going stright to xbox if something goes wrong?

The only info i have from this company is here: hotukdeals.com/ite…ed/

so sounds like they do deliver even if there is a slight delay which isnt a problem for me anyway! does anyone know how it works though as i havent done anything like this before?

so what should i do? any suggestions? or does anyone know of a better deal around?

cheers and reps to any helpful posts

Hi, I'm sure the console should come with a warranty? find out, and then decide? I would go for the Pro version if the warranty is good

If the 20gb has not got HDMI port and you have a HD TV then I would go for the ARCADE.

I would take the pro if it were me

Take the Arcade over the Pro - the Arcade will have HDMI and will be a better built machine. You don't get the HDD, but you can pick that up at a later date.

The later 20GB versions were renamed 'pro' and came with HDMI didn't they?

That was my understanding

hi,

the pro 20gb console replaced the premium 20gb console the only differences was the proccessor and introduction of a hdmi.

but the 60gb hdd replaced the 20gb in the pro packages so i would a expect a 60gb hdd with the xbox pro.

arcades replaced cores and the differences were proccessor and hdmi

so could someone please tell me the difference between the pro and the premium?

pro has a better cpu and is more reliable than the premium..... less chance of over heating and 3 red rings

Ok - time for some clarification:

The 360 was initially released in 2 flavours - the Core and the Premium, with the latter being released with extras such as headset, component cables and more importantly, a 20GB HDD.

The Elite was then released, which was essentially a black version of the Premium with a 120GB HDD. It also has an HDMI port as well as a proper HDMI/AV kit supplied.

Microsoft then decided to remarket their earlier range of consoles as they now wanted every 360 to have HDMI.

The 'Core' became the 'Arcade' and the 'Premium' became the 'Pro'. With the exception of an HDMI port and a redesigned motherboard (and an included Memory unit with the Arcade), they were pretty much the same as their predecessors.

The 20GB Pro model was removed and a 60GB version took its place at the same price.

Therefore, the Pro is considered better than the Premium for 3 main reasons:

1. HDMI connectivity.
2. Larger HDD.
3. Improved motherboard.
