Whats best way to send something to jobcentre?

Phoned up with flatmate to ask why he still isnt getting cash to be told they havent got his payslips or a letter confirming leaving date, which so far he has handed in 4 times!

He phoned jobcentre himself first and was told by woman at local one "its nothing to do with us, phone processing department, and your advisors on holiday anyway" in a rude tone of voice.

I phoned back ready to complain and got a nice guy who told me the system didnt show any records of them, and to hand them in, I told him he already had, and guy said he'd look into it for me and he rang me back 5 minutes later apologising but saying they werent on system and to hand them in again.

I said is it ok for me to send copies recorded delivery and he said hes not sure but that was a good idea.

Is recorded delivery best? dont want Jobcentre to claim they havent got them!

Then they would claim they hadnt recieved them again, plus It needs to be the processing place 30 miles away.

I would also get the name of the person that you give them to.

The best way would be to take them in by hand and sit there while they entered the details on the system.

Edit - just seen your second post, even if they receive them via RD then they can still claim they lost them in internal mail........i'd ask to have the issue looked at by a member of management.

Send them in recorded delivery and check the proof of delivery on the RM website. They can't deny they haven't seen it if they have signed for it!

I agree, and ask for a receipt. They can do this if asked.

"Hand it in, it'll probably be ignored for a long while seeing as the amount of people who are using the centres now" - Quote from the mother who is a part of the main leader team for the local branch.

If you want to get their attention, tied to a dead rabbit is probably best.
