I have Virgin and the only problem I have is the broadband limits if you are a heavy downloader, the tv (L package) is decent. Their broadband phone support is not very helpfull either, they just tell you to restart the modem/router.

yeh sky are terrible too-usueless infact with my broadband problems (cutting out anytime) and and trying to take money whenim in credit for no reason.

yeah both bad IMO but if you had to choose i would say Virgin JUST lol

We have the full Sky package (TV, Broadband, Telephone & line rental), never had any problems. Parents had Virgin, always had probelms, useless Customer Services, eventually changed to Sky!

The broadband has never cut out, it's just the speed sometimes drops a little.

The TV has cut out once or twice but if you call up their free helpline it normally tells you there is a problem in that area and they are already working on it.

On Virgin XL package, never any problems and free 10mb broadband

I'm with Virgin and never had any problems

sky without a doubt for me:thumbsup:

well if we have a crap summer/autumn/winter with high storms you'll not see the Sky broadcasts lol

my brothers Sky was always going down last year and I ended up having them all at mine

Couldn't do without the Sports Package, great Emirates Cup win last weekend!
Would recommend keeping Sky

its so hard to choose!!! and im a suposed to be getting 10mb BB but this min am getting 2.7 mb :w00t: and yes what a great win

sky tv is better, virgin bband is awesome, im happy with virgin as my dbox comes in handy for all the channels!

Virgin are fine generally, with few problems, but if you do have one their customer service is the pits....really the absolute pits.......lower than the pits, really, really, really bad. (can you gues i'm less than impressed by their customer service)

virgin all the way, i also find virgin has a slightly better picture, plus if you go through virgin retentions they pretty much always offer you a better deal

We had Virgin but now Sky, even with the highest package on virgin there was loads of channels that we didn't get that are available on sky, also on virgin there is only one hd channel on sky there is loads of them, I find my internet is more stable and faster with sky than virgin, but I miss catch up tv, tv on demand and music on demand on virgin, also on sky you can record 2 programmes at a time with sky+ but can't watch a third, whilst on virgin you can record 2 and watch a third with virgin+, so there is pros and cons for both, but myself personally I prefer sky

HaHaHaHa, ... they were pulling your leg or telling you porkies, Sky comes from a satellite, it isn't regional.

Bloody hell I have only had my sky for just over a month, and Virgin now bring those out.
Oh well at least sky have movies in hd.

its not FANTASTIC but its very very good, but no one has mentioned

BT VISION

freeview with twin tuner recorders - standard.

but the clincher is the on-demand - it's like owning 100's of box sets.

I subscribe to the picture-box movies, which are generally €rap - but the odd gem.

I was a setanta subscriber - but now i've adopted espn america it seems!

There was some HD content, but i'm not sure where it's all gone!

Connects to TV via hdmi

...all the on-demand data streamed does not count towards your bt internet useage.

still have sky hd - but quit the movies/sports.

Don't you have to pay for this per viewing??? If so could end up very expensive

+1

For me, Virgin.

I have XL TV with V+, L phone and XL 20mb BB. I always get very close to 20mb.
I have had dealings with CS and never had any problems with them be it UK or India.
Picture quality via the V+ is outstanding, even the SD is better than $ky.
The on demand content is a major bonus for me as well as the fast BB.

Only downside is the software the V+ box uses. It is a bit slow and sometimes throws a strop but it would seem that a software update is due in October.
Just waiting till september for cheaper 50mb BB!

Wouldn't bother with BT, more hassle than ever.
Even have my phone line with Sky, cheaper than BT
