Whats more frustrating than trying to make an Irish coffee

I have just left the kitchen covered in coffee and cream and a pile of dirty glasses having attempting many times to pour cream on top of hot coffee; every time it has sunk accompanied by me swearing. All this aggro for a bit of fancy coffee.

Oh yes, I had no intention of posting on 'feedback' I felt sure I had hit the 'misc' button. Can this be moved by any chance?

Just buy a box of 'Fancy' Nescafe Mocha/Latte/Cappuccino etc.....
    Simples.......:p

You have to pour the cream very slowly over the back of a spoon.

+1, not sure why it works, but it does!

Leave it sit still and all stirring has stopped hover a spoon so the tip douches the surface but its stil flat and slowly plus so that it slides off the spoon and into the coffee

What cream should I be using, I have been trying with single cream on the back of a spoon but always slips to the bottom of the glass. Thanks for the replies.

    Double cream

Hi my job has me making these day in day out. Whisk the cream up a bit first to thicken it, then u can spoon it on no problem,
By the way the cream then melts with the heat of the coffee but stays at the top.

Because it's thicker you can pop a few coffee beans on top and sprinkle some chocolate powder on.
