still looking for anything decent in 3d what a waste a 3d TV has been

the best 3d film I've seen is avatar. looks very good.

I know it's not the critics' choice of film, but the 3D in Prometheus was rather good. As was Life of Pi (Ang Lee actually lets some items slip beyond the black widescreen bars to give an even greater effect of "coming out of the screen" than normal).

We have 3d gravity on dvd the 3.D is really good.

3d tv just gives me headache....and I can never get the 3d effect...but theres always sales on with cheap or used blu rays on here, so just keep trying. .good luck anyway.

If you found one technology does that to you, try the other. I dislike active, as it makes me feel motion sick, passive like I own doesn't.

As to good 3d films, I enjoyed;

Judge Dredd
Lion King

Everything else I was unconvinced by. I'm glad my 3D tv was purchased on it's other merits and that 3D just happened to be a bonus feature we might use.

this one is a great watch might get a good price if you google it
out standing camera work and about 10 hours of viewing
David Attenborough - The 3D Collection Blu-ray
as darkstar 2003 said I have had good reports of gravity

Drive angry
Creature from the black lagoon
Monsters Inc has some stunningly good scenes

Any animation works best for 3d

Avatar , amazing

enjoyed loads of 3d films, Avatar, Gravity, Guardians of the Galaxy, Hobbit films, Journey to Centre of the earth.

Most of the animated ones are generally good, Spiderman 2 wasn't bad. Transformers ones made my eyes bleed the action was that frantic

Hugo directed by Martin Scorcesse:

It was filmed especially for 3D.

Since no one knows your tastes you are better off going to cex and buying one then trading it in and getting another and so one. Most of 3d I seen has been good. and that's on a small 19" pc monitor.
dredd and avatar both being my favourite for 3d and actual movie..

Hugo is a great family one, as are the ones above, but you can get Hugo for £5 new. The David Attenborough - 3D Collection is a must have. A few others are; Titanic, Jurassic Park, The Amazing Spider Man, The Polar Express, Universal Soldier and Brave for a bit of fun.

One other thing. I wouldn't trade them in but build a library. You have to watch them more than once to see all the special effects. I've watched Hugo and Gravity countless times. Enjoy.
