What's the best budget (under £150) 9/10 inch tablet at the moment?

Hi,

Wondered if anyone could help, I'm after a 9 or 10 tablet to keep me entertained on a plane journey with a few films. I've come across a couple, but they're not brands I know, like a fusion 10 inch compact
amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1
and Yarik noble
amazon.co.uk/Yar…let

But I'm not great with working out the specs etc, does anyone have any suggestions?

Many thanks

I wouldn't recommend the Fusion5, I've had experience with china tabs in the past and this spec wise looked similar to mine (mine was 8"). Dual core on android is far too slow and the pixels per inch is terrible for a 10" screen. It's not even hd, never mind full hd.

The Yarvik is a quicker tablet and will run android fairly well. But again the pixels for a 10" tablet, you see a lot of pixels from far away, you won't enjoy watching movies or browsing on them.

It's hard to find decent tabs at 9-10" for under £150, but here's one that looks good:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sumvision-Cyclone-Voyager-Retina-Tablet/dp/B00GBVCWBM

Sumvision are a good brand, bought webcams and keyboard in the past.
The tab is 9.7", quad-core processor, but the icing on the cake is the retina display (which just means that you won't see any pixels at a normal viewing distance). It's slightly over your budget, but trust me it looks worth it.
Also has 2 front facing speakers, good for music/movies on flights.

Another alternative would be the Nook HD+ 9"

That's great thank you for the advice, I'll check it out.
I'd happily spend a little more if it's that much better.

I've just seen this, a little cheaper but similar specs? amazon.co.uk/Ene…1_7?m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1394100179&sr=1-7
There's no reviews though!

I think that one may be above my budget for this tablet, thank you though.

I need to buy it on amazon as I have vouchers to use there.

Nope, far from similar specs. TFT, 1024x768 pixels again similar to your original post, dual-core processor that i've had previously and it's slow.

Trust me, for the price, anyone posting on here will find it hard to top the sumvision tab for the price and within your requirements.

Ok thank you, thinking about it i think i'll need to go for a lower spec one, I only really want it for a few movies, not really too fussed if its a little laggy. Thanks for your help though, I appreciated it.

Np. When looking for a lower spec, try to find any that have a better resolution as it will help when you're watching movies. Mentioned above the Nook HD+ is lower spec but still worth it, only £129.99 fopr 16gb at argos and other retailers:

32gb for £135 at amazon too:

the above posters link to the sumvision, looks good. probably the best you can expect for a non 7" tab. actually on paper looks good.
