What's the cheapest way to watch Sky Sports?

I've come to the recent, and long overdue conclusion that I'm paying far too much for my Sky subscription. I only really watch Sky Sports, and any shows I see I download or catch on Freeview-based channels.

Could anyone tell me if there's a TV provider (or anyone else) who provide Sky Sports channels at a reasonable price?

I would wanna avoid the SopCast/Internet Streaming route, even if it is free.

I've looked into BT Vision, Virgin, all pretty expensive. Even streaming JUST on Sky Player (no tv) works out at 35 quid!

If you have iPhone you can subscribe to sky mobile for £6 month but going up to £8 month in January. You get all 4 sports channels, sky sports news, sky news, and Espn
you need to get along to guv's satellite thread, I can't find it though due to the crazy search on this site.

This will not get you sky sports though afaik, but will get you alternative channels showing the same and more games.

There is no way of getting cheap sky sports and they like it that way.

It will get you sky sports - though its obviously illegal to obtain subscription channels you should be paying for to receive. Foreign channels are a different matter. I cant legally subscribe.
You can get every channel for around £10 a month. Buy a DM800/DM500 & have a little look through Google....
Bit of a gamble but we've only had Sky Sports for about 6 months, then we asked for Sports to be taken off the package as we weren't getting the benefit out of it. Their retentions offered a 20% discount across the whole of our TV Package costs if we kept Sports on, so effectively saving about £10 a month.
BT Vision I have been informed is about £15 cheaper if you get everything through them phone, bb etc. Not sure how true that is, nor would I want to be fixed to them myself.
Just threaten to cancel and throw your teddy out of the pram like so many do in here
cheapest is free thru internet sites
as chris said, get yourself a dreambox, all the channnles you could ask for at around £10 a month
u could also ask a friend who subscribes to sky sports to make you an account for sky player, unless they stop you doing that?

What do you need to get that? (is it an online registration - and whats required?) Ive got 2 fully subbed HD boxes at home (not even multi room linked!)..... So potentially have 2 accounts I could use to get it!

I let my brother use my Sky Player account so he can watch the football. There's no restriction on this practice.
Someone else was asking this on deal requests yesterday I think.
Topup TV is around £30 for Sky Sports 1 and 2 with free box and set up.

I just got my bill and Sky prices are all going up in January, with the VAT increase

All u need to do is link your sky account with sky player, then register your pc and thats it, and 1 xbox per account or sub account.

Also, you can create something like 5 sub accounts per account, so that is potentially 10 accounts u could make there.

Might be worth giving it a try, although i doubt they would let you access sky sports on all of these at the same time lol

Well done you!
The best is BCE Premium TV. We are using it for a long time. Over 100 Premium Sports Channels (Sky Sports, BT Sport, Bein Sports, Fox Sports,...) just $15/month or $70/year. just search "BCE Premium TV" in Google you will find it easily.
