What's the current Hudl2 replacement?

I've got a Hudl2 which I bought back in the middle of 2015 for peanuts (~£45 after vouchers and clubcard points).
Apart from a few niggles it's been great, but I'm ready for an upgrade.

The trouble I have it the budget to mid range android tablet market is like it always has been saturated and there doesn't seem to be any obvious champions on the market.

So what's the best sub £200, Android, non-Chinese import 8 - 9" tablet on the market?

Acer Iconia One (which we have in 7 and 8" versions) or the NVidia Shield K1, IMO. The Shield is more of a gaming tablet vs the general browsing Iconia.

Just done a double take - I don't think the Shield is available anymore at a sensible price.

The specs of the Acer iconia one look worse then the hudl2.
The shield did appear on my initial search, but looks like it was discontinued so prices for new ones really high.
I'd go for a Samsung Tablet.
But, I'm not sure which model (Tab A or Tab E) suits your needs and budget.
