whats the difference between these two Processors?

    Banned
Hello, I am looking at changing my laptop, I have seen the laptop in the link in post one however it does not have a dual core Processor. I was told by a friend not to bother with anything other than dual core or more but seeing the rest of the spec on this makes me wonder if this is the exception to that rule if that rule is a rule after all...

so what do you guys think ?

£460 seems like an awful lot for a 13.3 inch, main use word processing or ?

i think thats a dual core ill bench mark first thou, no its single core :s seems too pricey doesnt matter about everything else if your processor is crap then your system most likey is too

It's not a proper laptop as such, more of a netbook/laptop hence it is more portable and good battery life... That particular processor is there probably to reduce the power consumption more than anything.

Prices are normally higher for a 13inch than a 15/17inch because of the portability factor. I'm not sure how much this laptop is worth though, I've not been following the prices recently.

I realsise it is more of an inbetween laptop network but that is what i am after. I am in two minds about this, i am unsure if it will manage what i use it for, all the other spec seems much better than the other netbooks. I just wonder why they bothered to not put a dual core on this.

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/185894 this is a good buy

hmm. its certainly a nice price and would consider it as a second one once i have a portable one too for sure. thanks i didnt know you could buy them like that.

is there any other things like this with a dual core and the rest of the spec?

just make sure u get 2gb ram and a decent processor and battery life and you'll be fine..

just no celerons (celeries) and single cores to be honest and it'll be good!

have a look at dell as they usually are the cheapest and offer most bang for buck!

I would never buy a dell again after the experience me and the mrs both had with our (at the time) top of the range super duper XPS's terrible machines and worse CS. dell and myself will not be doing biz again after all that.
