I'd love to have gas - have spent over £1k on central heating oil since October, should have enough to take us through to April or May but that's heating only, hot water comes from the immersion heater...

I use Kerosene too, I think the prices have been falling recently though.

They have, 1000 litres in January cost £100 less than 1000 litres in October!

I paid £650 for 1000 litres last August.
Now I can get it for £280 as it has dropped from 65p per litre, to an amazingly low 27.95p,
Less than half the price of six months ago. :w00t:

How about stating how big your house is (How man rooms) so it's easier to understand how high/low your bill is and is it over a year or monthly, or quarterly?

    Are's is £104.26 for a 2 bed terrace from Nov - Feb

Hard to compare, I like the idea of paying up front with the kerosene, It's like buying a tank of fuel for your car. You pay prior to using it, If I see it dropping quickly, you can use less in an attempt to spin it out a little, and put on an extra jumper.

The price can shoot up when there's a high demand though, people tend to fill their tanks up prior to the winter, when it's expensive, then in June-August the price drops as not so much demand. You also don't want to run out!!

Used to have oil for 7yrs before I moved out of my mum's. Think we ran out twice and the boiler shut down and locked out. Cost £200 to get it repaired each time! :? She's moved to a house ( in middle of no where) now and only got a log fire but it heats all the radiators and hot water.

max £150 quarterly 3 bed house.

Ours is usually around the £90 mark, highest was nearly £150.

Ok let's see what do you want to hear the good news or the bad news?

The good news is that gas prices are going down by 4% from March onwards.

BUT THE BADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD NEWS is that last august your gas prices went up by 29%

Where does this make sense? I thought that the petrol prices went down in price around october last year how come they are conveniently reducing the price in March (and also the difference is HUGEEEEEEEEE) after the winter. This is so wrong

I am sure in August this year they come with another excuse to increase your price again during the winter.

Just had ours, £340 for the quarter for gas, shocking, never have it higher than 18ºC and turn it off during day and at night (only on in evenings).
