Im just wondering what the limit is that anyone will pay for a new video game?

Personally I generally wont pay more than a tenner as im not that bothered about waiting for games to come down in price.

Yeah i remember paying £60 for street fighter 2 special championship edition on mega drive on import but it came with a honey bee convertor. worth every penny.

i stopped buyign games when they were new, as i found oemn or 2 weeks like they dropped mearly half price some of them

About £25 for me.

I paid £50 for chromehounds on the xbox360 :-( ... i know what was i thinking.

It all depends, if I could get FF13 today i'd pay loads :-D

Depends on the game.

£25 or £30 for something really special.

I did pay £44.99 for GTA4 on the day of release, regret it now.

40 for gears 2 before release was most.....then theres guitar hero.....hmmmm

I remember paying £59.99 at Toys'R'Us for Fighter's Destiny on the N64, great game though - worth it imo.
And remember Special Reserve **member prices** for games? £42.99 for GT64...such a bad game.

We get it so good nowadays!

Seems £30 is a fair amount for a new release if you're bargain hunting, however for something like Rock Band 2 (which will never come down in price) with my student discount at HMV, £35.99 is the most I'd likely pay.

£40+ for collector's editions though, if it was worth it

Most I payed recently is £35 for GTA 4 special edition on ps3 on release day. I still think it is worth it. (my favourite GTA yet)

£20 max now, unless desperate.
