What's the lowest/highest amount you've claimed back from Amazon?

I recently purchased this:

for £6.12 from amazon. To my HORROR it has now been reduced to £5.85!!!

I was ACTUALLY going to email them for the 27p until i got hold of my senses!

So, what's the least you guys have ever claimed back from amazon under their 30day price guarantee? And what's the most?

don't think so, you could always return and reorder though. for £2 probably not worth it.

Highest both in terms of amount and percentage, was £10 for a watch I'd bought for £24

Least was probably about 20p :oops:

yeah considering i have already put the ram in my comp, not really worth the hassle of taking it out and posting back for £2

I think what Amazon do is wrong, it should be within a time zone of like 3 months or so, as items depreciate.

I think its wrong over a time period of 3 - 9 months. However, I think that Amazon are good to offer that service to customers, creating good PR, and your not being ripped off. Although items depreciate as technology advances. For example, a car, you buy it, drive it 100 miles. The price drops (depending on your car, i.e; Citroen C2), or an Xbox 360, as soon as its been used, it loses its value. I bought my xbox for £250 5/6 months ago, if I'd have waited I would have saved a lot more, which I DO agree, Amazon are using a fair method of selling products.

I bought a computer and it dropped by like £200 a few days later.. these things are expected from electricals though, always bloody changing !!

Use the link on the right of ]this page to contact Customer Services.

If it uses the 'Express" form, you can choose the item you want a refund on and then click "Contact Amazon". On the next page, from the drop down menu choose "Return & Refunds". Write a polite letter stating what the price was, what it is now, and asking them to refund the difference.

If it doesn't use the 'Express' form (some browsers don't support it) click on the 'e-mail' tab. I can't remember what this form is like, but basically it is the same. Select "Return & Refunds" from the drop down menu. Make sure that it has the order number, or if it doesn't allow you to select it automatically, that that you state the order number and the Item name in the e-mail. Also say how much it was and how much it is now, etc.

Never used it, always forget to check it and when I do they have usually stayed the same or even gone up!

I got £70.01 back for the hd dvd player i bought

on a side note, i claimed two days ago for a telly we bought in january (£1k) and they paid me the £21 that it dropped by within the 30 days even though it was claimed after 60 days. I did give them a bit of stick though as i have spent thousands with amazon over the years and I dont feel they do anything to encourage loyalty other than provide above average customer service. Interestingly in todays metro amazon lost out to play by 2% customer satisfaction (2nd and 3rd respectively, cant remember who was first) but personally i find play customer service **** and rude, even when buying an item costing several hundred pounds whereas Amazon always get it sorted although it might take more than one email ;-)
