Whats the most feeble excuse youve used to get a refund?

No doubt we will have a few laughs with this.

So the question is. What is the most feeble excuse you have used to get a refund?

I bought a video years ago from blockbuster video, and took it back saying on the front of the box it said 'highly entertaining - daily mail' etc you know the kind of thing I am refering to. Anyway I took it back saying I wasnt entertained, and after a good few minutes arguing I did get my money back even though I had watched it. I cant remember what video it was, but it was cack.

Come on peeps spill the beans, what have you said/done?

Hes wearing a joesph and amazing technicolour coat lol

I returned a wifi router to Dixons once saying it was Mac incompatible. Got some sympathetic mumbled agreement about useless Macs

It was within the return period so technically I didn't have to give a reason..I just felt bad.

Bought a sleeveless padded jacket from Screwfix - telephoned them to send it back. When they asked a for a reason I said it was because my wife had said it made me look fat. It gave the female operator a laugh.......

    hehe thats a classic :w00t:

DVD was loose in the box - usually return it if its loose because it could be scratched if its been rattling around

To get a refund when I've used a code, if they ask where the code was from I usually use the 'mum placed the order and I am trying to sort things out for her because she is in hospital at the moment and cant deal with it' to avoid giving an answer

I bought a vacuum cleaner from Asda once. It was fab for about five minutes but then got clogged up and the suction was ****. I didn't want to keep it but it was obvious it had been used so I told the assistant that it kept throwing the trip switch of my house electrics. She couldn't prove otherwise so gave me a full refund. I did feel a bit guilty but it was so rubbish they shouldn't have been able to sell it!!!
