What's the most you can withdraw out of an ATM at once? Could I draw out £250 and then another £250?

    Thanks

Lol, I walked in and withdrew 5k to pass over to my dad (prefers cash to the bank, old fashioned I guess). It was in another branch, but they gave it to me, not without a wee probe though. "That's a large amount in cash sir, what do you need it for?" - Sweets I replied. Hee haw to do with them. It's not as if i put in 5k in used up bank notes with traces of powder on them for some dodgy dealings.

    .

I thought that was a one way process though, fair enough if making a deposit in used notes. I told them sweets and she passed the cash over. So, if asking questions, what's the point when you get an answer like that ?

so they can say they asked? Not sure, just what I was told by someone i knew who worked in a bank.

I'm with Halifax and the most you can withdraw from cash machines in any 24-hour period is £300.

The daily maximum cash withdrawal over the branch counter is £1,200, unless you have pre-ordered a higher amount.

If you wish to withdraw more than £1,200 in cash, you will need to give your branch advance notice and provide ID.

    bout tree fiddy

no but seriously, i think I can take out up to £500
