I have, how else would i know its not working

    is it 22/2/2011 yet ?

I used to work for Dell, and I know the answer, but I'm not going to tell you because I think you really need to learn to find things out for yourself.

You should have a minimum of 1 year warranty, contact Dell and they will tell you!

That would be a reasonable reply under normal circumstances!

Yes I know what he means, it baffles me also why he keeps replying to my posts with snidy comments (which dont bother me by the way!) when hes not even of any use! Maybe hes unemployed since he no longer works at Dell and has alot of time on his hands!

I'm not sure what your point is. As memory serves, I asked that question because HUKD is an excellent source of knowledge and experience, and as I think I explained in my post, I didn't want to ask BT direct because if I did, I was concerned that it might leave some rather damning evidence against me if I did something slightly illegal. You might've noted whilst you were stalking through my post history that I ask very few questions, and when I do, I always return to the threads to thank and rep the people. Peter, by contrast, comes here for help once or twice a day, always about trivial matters that he could figure out for himself if he wasn't so damn lazy, and has quite a history of not bothering to even return to his threads, nevermind show any gratitude to the people who've given him his time. Try looking through his thread history, and you'll maybe see my point.

So, what, are you going to post a link to every question I've ever asked here? If you are, I think it would only be fair if you also posted every answer I've ever given, too. I think the latter task may take you a while.

No, I actually have two jobs. I was off last week though, which is perhaps why it seems more focused.

The point I'm trying to make is that there is no need to be rude to people. If you've pointed out time and time again to the op that it's easy to google, or that it's polite to thank people for effort, then maybe it's time to just ignore him. Instead you are wasting your own time and making yourself look rude.
Also, maybe the op is lonely and rather than sit googling by himself he likes to interact with other cyber beings!! Any attention is better than no attention.

Edit : Just had a laugh reading through a couple of his threads and I can see where you're coming from. I think he's probably lonely.

Ha, so its rude to tell the OP to search for themselves but its ok to basically call them a attention seeking loner?!

Unless im mistaken the Dell dock is pathetic attempt to replicate Apples dock in OSX on Windows. You are better off without it as it just uses resources better used for other things so I would advise unistalling it.

However your Dell Laptop will as standard have a 1 year return to base warranty for hardware issues. Dell will not provide software support.

It sounds though from your comment about taking ages to get online that it is either bogged down with unneccessary software or has a virus or some other malware.

My recommendation if it is performing so poorly is to back up anything you need to keep to an external hard drive, memory stick or DVD/CD then use the restore function to wipe the machine back to how it came from the factory.

If you dont want to do that, first use a decent virus scanner like Microsft Security essentials and then check for other malware using MBAM (google it) then once the system is confirmed as clean or you have removed any threats reported, re install the dock app (if you must) from the discs that Dell supplied with your system.

I know, I changed my mind!!! I should really apologise to dxx - SORRY DXX, hope you read this. Carry on being your normal helpful self.

Op, I hope you appreciate the time and effort people go to in trying to help you out. Maybe you should connect your HTC to the laptop and take it into your dethawed shower and see if you can clean it all out!!!

Exactly , I ask here because i get quick responses from people who may know the answer to a question. I really cant see the point of being aggravated of a post. Whats the point in having a misc forum if no one uses it. If nobody wants to reply, simply go elsewhere. Problem solved!
