thats the one, cheers!

You're welcome

Freecycles great

Here's my usual plug for Gumtree whenever Freecycle gets mentioned. Freecycle's rubbish. Staffed by ********s, and requires registration and verification and all sorts of mod approval **** before you can even submit an ad, and when you do, you can safely assume that the majority of people writing to ask for it will be rude, or just liars. You're much better selling it on Gumtree, which requires no registration and takes about two minutes to submit an ad to, for £1. Much less hassle, and less chance still of some greedy abuser of the system loading his van with your gear.

very true, however i gave away some old tatty half eaten toys to this woman i doubt ill ever see again and she was happy, does annoy me though when people dont post a recieved thread through the site letting me know they have recieved my bag o'carp :w00t:
overall ive had some very good stuff off freecycle like a tv, raincover for my graco stadium duo (that ill be selling v.soon) erm....erm.... a three piece suite in very very good condition off a lovely man, i think it depends what day you go on as i find some people very pushy and want the items yesterday if you know what i mean lol

Thanks for advice on that, I must say I've been pretty annoyed with the way Freecycle restrict your posts. Had an item collected within an hour of posting so posted saying item had been collected but they moderated the post for a good few hours which meant I was inundated with pointless emails.
Will try Gumtree next, rep left.

joined freecycle last week,,still awaiting verication(waste of time)

can't disagree with a word of that apart from is gumtree still not free? It was a fortnight ago.

edit: just checked and the glasgow gumtree is still free to post an ad anyway.

It is free, I just meant that if you ask a quid for the item, it tends to deter the looters that skim-read and only bother with the stuff that's properly free.
