Whats to do in Torquay?

Hi, we are going down to Torquay for a weeks holiday, can anyone recommend what to do/see/visit......and what not to while we are there.
We have two lads age 9 and 12.
Considered Quaywest....if the sun ever shines! and Treetops???? Anyone know what they are like??
Also whats Paignton Zoo like....worth going??

paignton zoo is great, loads of great kids parks at Teignmouth and Decoy, Newton Abbot, Dawlish Warren is good, Goodrington with Quaywest water park

paignton pier is good plus the fair is there I think t the mo

Crealy in Exeter plus Woodlands at Dartmouth area would be perfect for the lads, check out the devon atttractions site

Paignton Zoo is really good, would recommend going there. Also would agree with the above post about Crealy and Woodlands.

Don't be tempted by the Living Coasts at Torquay though, not really worth it in my opinion.

If you go to Quaywest, there is also an outdoor go-carting track next to it which is great fun and pretty cheap. You can get a return trip on a steam train from Paignton station down to Dartmouth where you can spend the day, it's a really nice place to have a look around and have lunch by the water. Paignton is good in the evening with the pier and there are lots of arcades and I think (though probably only at certain times) a fairground.

I can't remember the dates, perhaps a little late now, but Teignmouth and Shaldon are worth a visit, Shaldon has an annual regatta on the beach where there are all sorts of competitions and games and processions/floats with the boats parading around the River. In Shaldon there is a really nice restaurant which sits on "the ness" which overlooks the sea and Teignmouth, there is also a pitch and putt golf course next to that which is always a good laugh.

Trago mills at Newton Abbot has a huge store that stocks just about everything at bargain prices and also has a leisure park for the kids with go-carts, boats, railway etc.
Kents cavern is very good and worth a look too.
