We have quite a few in the I.T. world, usually used to describe the users:giggle: A couple of them are:

PEBKAC = problem exists between keyboard and computer
    ID-10-T (pronounced eye-dee-ten-tee) error = idiot

    My favourite:

GIGO = garbage in, garbage out (i.e. you get what you ask for!)

But if those geeks were the ones to teach others their TWA's...
then they'd be three-word-acronym-teachers... otherwise known as..

Some doctors...anyone unprofessional enough to do this would certainly not record that they had done it.

Many medical acronyms were used in a derogatory way, yrs ago. But not any longer (hopefully).

FLK, funny looking kid. Although thought to be derogatory, it was actually used to describe a new born where the facial features did not appear to be right, e.g ears lower down the head than normal. This was before a diagnosis could be made, often it would emerge that the child had some type of chromosomal syndrome. This term is never used now (I hope).

I work for a large blue chip company, who recently run a programme called
BHAG which stood for Big Hairy Audacious Goal to look at accomodation

Without doubt my favourite is R.T.F.M.

    Read The F**king Manual

It saved alot of time closing support call logs many years ago.

'Told user to R.T.F.M.' for example.

I remember my boss standing up & saying that we must all use less TLAs (i.e. three letter acronyms):giggle:

You're all probably too young to remember BBC's Radio Times, which quite often published a section dedicated to "a random selection of light entertainment"...
