Hi all, searched Google and there doesn’t appear to be any advice on this (even unofficial). I suspect it’s being suppressed as it doesn’t even figure in any search hits yet the Google auto complete suggests it’s a popular question.
We have a WhatsApp broadcast list for the local charity I volunteer with.
It’s a business WhatsApp account.
People opt in to be added to list, we save their contact number and add them to our broadcast list. They save our number to their contacts list.
Oddly, some people receive the broadcast messages and some, despite being on the list for a long time, have never received any broadcast messages from us. They receive direct messages (in the same chat) perfectly fine.
When we check the broadcast list, the individual shows as being on the list, but when we select more “info” on the message, you can see that it hasn’t been delivered to them.
Also the broadcast symbol only shows 1 tick, rather than the 2 ticks for everybody else that has revived the message (doesn’t turn blue, as that’s privacy settings related)
Any idea what it could be?

Maybe check with a few broadcast non-recipients if that is the case.
Yes they’ve confirmed they have the number saved in contacts list and we make that clear when they click the link to be added.
Will have to check re-check if they have +44 format. WhatsApp should make that clear if that is a requirement
