WhatsApp have rolled-out a major new update for Apple iOS .. and it's a good one!

This new update will allow users to queue up messages even when they don’t have an internet connection. As soon as they have regained connection, the messages will then be sent off!

This iOS update also means you can now send up to 30 photos or videos at once, (the limit was 10). It also features a new ‘storage usage’ screen, making it so much easier to delete messages, resulting in more free space on your phone!

I thought it did that already

Correct, for the last two years, if they don't have signal or a data connection, when they type a message the send has been greyed out, they can't even save until later.
Apple fools!
Obviously on all other platforms, they just queue and leave the phone when ready with no interruption to the user.

Always been an apple restriction..

Sad times..

*sending messages without an internet connection from Android since a few years*

Just saying.

I can't see anything different regarding the storage screen?

Well Apple devices finally catch up to the rest of the world.. Even Windows Phone could do this

Wow, there really are some sad people in this world. Are some people that use Android phones so petty minded that they use any excuse to claim their 'superiority' over Apple users? I remember when I was a kid the rivalry between Sega and Nintendo users. Have these people just not grown up? I have an Android phone and an Apple phone. Every day I wake up and the world is still turning. Get a grip.

I totally agree with you, however, the reason why I posted the above message was only to point something, as iOS users ONLY (not Android and IOS like you), always claim that iOS (iPhones) are the best and so on. I do not have anything against them, I was only saying a fact. I am not claiming any 'superiority' by having an Android device, but I find it silly and funny at the same time that this feature was implemented on iOS only now.

Many people still have to learn there are other good alternatives / devices and stop having the concept that iOS / Apple / etc. are the best / the only options.

I wasn't singling you out. There are similarly petty people that own iOS devices that engage in such petty behaviour. It just surprises me that adults engage in that sort of thing.

So if it has always been an Apple restriction why have they suddenly been able to implement it?

Not sure why people get apparent joy from 'my OS is better than yours'. Who cares? This thread is just for informing iOS WhatsApp users that there are some new features - it didn't strike me as being written in a 'we're so great, we have these features' way.

I've been using WhatsApp on both platforms for years and things get rolled out at different times on the different platforms - e.g. Android took a lot longer to get the 'remove last seen' option, and more recently took longer to implement GIFs.

At the end of the day it doesn't really matter but I found this post useful as I hadn't noticed the update. - my Android device updates when I plug it in to charge where I have to manually open the App Store on my iPhone because iPhones are rubbish and I'm a sheep etc etc.

Cheers OP.
