When goods don't show up...

Don't you hate it when goods don't show up...

And the retailer blames the courier (which hasn't left a card).

"Call the courier and arrange for a redelivery," they say.

But I don't every know which courier it is, consignment number or anything. (I've emailed again to ask)

If I haven't got the goods, the retailer is still responsible yeah? My contract is with them, not the courier, right?

We used to do couriering (sp?) but we always left a number on the card, your contract is with the retailer and they should be taking details to pass on to the courier for an appropriate re-delivery time or alternate address - to be fair though, there is a good chance the retailer does not know who their courier is if they are using self employed drivers like we were, they can take the details and hope they'll get passed on by the distribution team, but can't guarantee you a delivery time or even day. The whole thing is at best a nightmare, which is why we chucked it!
