When is the best time to plant Grass

My grass is looking a little shabby from this crappy weather we have had and therefore was wondering if anyone would be able to advise me on the following:-

Best seeds/etc to buy to enhance and add to the current grass on my lawn
Best time to do this ie plant seeds, fertislise etc what you have recommended above.

Quite interested in this myself. Just raked 2 wheelie bins full of leaves off my back lawn (its only a small garden too!) and now have no grass :P

Such a pain isnt it, I had a lovely lawn last summer, now its not so good.

best time of the year is usaully when its heavily snowing :roll:

I'm not sure it matters, just be safe when hooking up to the mains :whistling:

Ground needs to be warm or it wont germinate properly. Sept is best IMHO. Just treated mine with moss kill and it looks terrible. Black patches everywhere but I'm sure it will recover when the weather improves. Dont panic!

I wouldn't plant the grass seed, it could take some time!
