I'm well out of contract with ee and nearly into the 14 month of a 12 month contract.

Rang up today and got pac code.
The advisor says if I will be billed for 30 days from today whether I use the pac code today or on day 30 as I have to give 30 days notice.

I didn't think this happened with pac codes, doesn't the contract end on the day the number is ported to another network?

Or is it true that they will bill me a full 30 days regardless - in that case I might as well wait until around day 28 to use it as I'm paying for it anyway.

They will bill you the 30 days regardless as that is the 30 days notice

You have to pay the 30 day notice period, however, before you switch airtime providers, ee will contact you and try to match any offer you are leaving for. It's a bit hit and miss. Sometimes they will match the deal, sometimes not, but fingers crossed, you might get a better deal from ee without using the pac code.

Yep that's how it works. I usually ring at the end of 11 months exactly as they will not accept before than and start the transfer process one week before tge end of the contract. You can do it a few days before but I do not like to risk it.

agreed. Dont go too close to the 30 days, just in case the transfer takes a little longer-therefore you will get billed for another 30 days.

Its NOT the case that youll get billed for 30 additional days regardless.
