"When was it? What was it? Did you manage to get the deal you were looking for at the end?"

Just had this conversation with Nathan and thought it will be fun to ask everyone. Starting with myself, I drove once 90 miles to get a £5 PS vita game from Argos. X)

What was the game? And surely your joking...

Think mine would be for an xbox 360 with Kinect from Currys, was dirt cheap, think only one other person posted they were able to get it. just wanted one for another room. not really crazy.

And i agree with with shadey12

That was the LBP on vita which is still sealed, LMAO. I just double checked the distance I drove, yes it is 86 miles to be precise. I visited a number of Argos on my way to get what I was after. I am not sure why did I do that tbh. X)

I know but thinking about what I did it makes me laugh. X)

Waiting to hear Buzz's reply now...

My mum gave me a whole pound in 1991, I ran so fast to the shop across the road that I tripped on the kirb and gashed my knee, luckily my trousers didn't rip, but it did hurt, soon after I was at home enjoying PacMan, luckily no geese were hurt during the whole saga.

Mix you're crazy X)

I haven't been on that many. I've travelled a little further around the city to different stores than my closest ones for games and never got them in the end but that's about it.

I have done these types of marathons only twice in my life.

I usually phone up any shops in a 50 mile radius before going there to find nothing!

So, after calling the shops, you still make the journey & leave empty-handed?

That's dedication.

Not a wild goose chase as such..

I posted a deal a few years back which was with Orange Shop, the offer was

From Midnight 8 items woudl be listed costing £8.00 each.. they included things like Sat Navs and HDD's etc it was a very good offer...

At midnight it caused an overload on the websites servers, and as such pretty much everyone on the site got something, except for myself as my order failed

I did get the Kenwood Food Processor deal from Argos for £50.00 last year.

X) X) Well he is a deeky!

about 180 mile round trip to buy a car and backed off does that count probably not .

So prompted by HUKD to get an Xbox 360 from Argos 20 miles away with a couple of games on offer
Spent almost an hour as they phoned HQ back and forth to get their codes to get £100 off
I then gave it to my fickle cousin to enjoy as he was so into it as his dad wouldn't get him one
He gave it back a few months later and I put it away somewhere, never played it and don't know where it Is or even if it was stolen in our break in a few years ago
What a waste of time and money?

almost every asda game deal that is ever posted

Only thing i can remember was looking for turtles in the 90s kept going places like hamleys etc never had em just foot soldiers left always, ended up in i think it was debenhams bored shopping with my mum at about 8pm, after looking in several west end big stores and forbidden planet etc, then there was an announcement, turtles just been restocked in the toy department, me and mum were the only ones in there, i got Leonardo, Michaelangelo, splinter, bebop and rocksteady.

I think she spent over £30 on em just because she was sick of going round toy shops several times a week looking for the things

When tesco was selling games super cheap (Deadpool for £3, wwe 2k16 for £3 for example) I went to my local and used the hand scanner, picked up 20 different games (spent £75) went to game who price matched and added £1 to CEX offers.

Left with just under £240 of Xbox Credit

I must have missed a deal here! Nice job! X)

Does driving from Aberdeen to Edinburgh to clean out Costco of 99p games count?
As Costco is a trade style outlet didn't feel bad about it.
